The 38 Ton Shay is modeled after Ely-Thomas #6, which operates today on the New Jersey Museum of Transportation’s Pine Creek Railroad in Allaire State Park. Like their previously offered 36 Ton Shay (voted 1997 Product of the Year in Model Railroader’s Readers Choice Awards), the 38 Tonner is equipped with the cutting-edge technology and details that make Spectrum® geared locomotives so successful.
